London-based production house Film and Music Entertainment (F&ME) has announced that the production of comedy feature ‘How to Sell a War’ directed by Rudolph Herzog will start in spring with principal photography taking place in Georgia in the early summer. The project is co-produced by Georgian prodco 20 Steps and German 42film. Currently the producers are completing the financing of the project which has been recently awarded the production grant €350,000 from German regional fund Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung (MDM). Development of the project had been co-financed by English funding organization Creative England. The plot follows PR-agents who have to fabricate information in order to prevent an armed conflict in Georgia’s province Svaneti which is provoked by Russian war-leader. ‘How to Sell a War’ is the fourth collaboration between F&ME and 20 Steps preceded by ‘Lost in Karastan’ (debuted at Montréal World Film Festival in 2014), ‘The President’ (premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2014) and ‘Dede’ which is currently in post-production.
