Inter Launches Ukrainian-Russian Adaptation of Ezel

Russian language adaptation of Turkish multi-episode crime drama Ezel, titled in Ukraine and Russia ‘Get to Know Me if You Can’, was premiered by Inter TV Channel on Monday, June 30. In Russia the series is aired by Rossiya 1.

Originally Ezel was created by Ay Yapim. The series was aired in Turkey (71 episodes, 2009-2011) on Show TV and ATV and has gathered more than 13 millions of viewers.

Format is distributed by Swedish company Eccho Rights and was already sold to more than 40 countries worldwide. One of the most successful Turkish crime series has more than 30 Awards, including International Seoul Awards Best Drama and C21 Format Awards Best Script Drama.

The storyline in the Ukrainian-Russian 24-episode version of Ezel takes place in the 90’s in a Russian seaside city. The main character, who is a modern version of Count Monte Cristo, is forced to change not only his way of life but also his appearance.
