UCM'14 Participants' News: Ukraine Commissioned a Local Version of FremantleMedia's A New Beginning

Ukraine TV channel is adapting FremantleMedia’s format A New Beginning which will be locally titled My New Life. The show was originally developed by Blue Circle for RTL 4 in the Netherlands. Ukrainian adaptation will be produced by OK Media and will launch in 2015. 

"In 2015 A New Beginning show (Ukr. Moe nove zhuttya) will be premiered on Ukraine TV channel. The format was originally produced by FremantleMedia, earlier it was adapted in Holland as Een Nieuw Begin. Natalia Lomonosova - psychologist, will be the host of the project. Emotional aspect is strongly emphasized - viewers can feel for show heroes, learn from their examples and draw own conclusions", – comments Yulia Gatitulina, CEO of Program Planning Department, Ukraine TV channel. 

A New Beginning empowers women who, as a result of setbacks in their lives feel like they have not fulfilled their potential. Nominated by their loved ones, the series look to enhance the lives of these women with an eight week program of mental and physical exercises put together by a psychologist and specialist team of cosmetic and stylist professionals. The group works together to erase the visible traces of previous trauma and help the women to take their lives back into their own hands.
